No it isn't. Like me, you got the pack for free. For ANet to sell it or re-run the offer in the future would not be disrespectful of anyone. It's what any rational person would expect them to do.

It helps for you to criticise my point if you actually read it. I have not said that Anet should not rerun the offer, I said they should not offer the pack another way. The OP is askign for the pack to be sold seperatly or in stores.
that is not a rerun of the offer. I see no harm in rerunning the actual offer at soem point, that would not help the OP though as yo would still need to buy $30 worrth of product from the online store and those that can't do that still won't be able to.
the conception of getting soemthing for free means that you don't have to do anything to get it. I certainly don't see the BMP as a free giveaway. If it had been then everyone playing the game would have got one. It an incentive, rather than a freebie. we do somethign for them and they do somethign for us, with a cherry on top to entice us to do it, where we normally wouldn't.
The second some one says to you that they got something for free, and all they had to do was such and such a thing then you know they didn't get it for free.
A father tells his oldest son he will get £10 for mowing the lawn, then gives his youngest son £10 for doing nothing. When both talk later the eldest will certainly be upset and annyed that the father has doen such a thing. Why should he have to mow the lawn to get £10 when his brother did nothing.
Anyone who bought GW:EN online shoudl be uspet if they found out the the BMP would be available seperatly or through another method. GW:EN can be bought much cheaper from a shop than from the online store. Some bought character slots just to get the BMP, would they have done so if they could have got the BMP much cheaper? I don't think so. I think many who have went out of their way to get this BMP through the offer would feel Anet was being disrespectful to them if they offered the BMP through alternative means.

Was his younger son hyperactive and found doing nothing very difficult?
Nobody is saying that people should get the pack for nothing (well, I think a couple of idiots have tried to suggest that, but it's obviously unreasonable).
When you buy something, even participate in a promotion, there's no guarantee that a better deal won't surface later. Most people realise this when they make a purchase. None of you have any right to hold ANet to a commitment they never made.

Would people that have divine aura /sign for it to be sold? The only thing left for some of you is to watch your guildies talk about how great the bmp.On that note it would be great to see how many people would say bmp is mudd after they whined how crap Gwen was and how they should get this for free.

The aura was marketed as an exclusive feature of the CE - I see this as closer to the GotYE weapon pack.
Even so, I have the aura and would indeed sign, but I wouldn't expect anything to come of it.

I have the aura and hell if it were ever made available for purchase. My ego isn't big enough to tolerate it.

It was a bonus for those of us who purchased from the online store. Lets keep it that way.
Let other people who didn't want to use the online store have it for say £3 when Guild Wars 2 is out.

/not signed - silly idea. If you wanted it bad enough you would have gone the way many other people did. If you sat back and hoped that a little pressure at the right would change Anet's mind then you deserve to miss out.
Whether it was a good policy on Anet's part or not - you can't disenfranchise those that signed up for the contract because others want a late change to the policy to get it too. What's done is done and that bridge has been burnt.
Move along - nothing to see here.

Which are actually more widespread throughout Europe and unlike CC, they're free to use. So really, unless you're a European who travels a lot or buys a lot of things off the Internet, a CC is useless. And even if you do buy from the Internet, a lot of online stores do accept Debit Cards.
Also, the governement has nothing on CC by my count, but Debit cards are pretty much encouraged to use by both merchants (lower fees than CC) and buyers (No cost to use it). And technically, Belgium hasn't got a governement at the moment to blame (for this anyway ).
We can get CCs, it's just that getting them would mean we'd have to start paying for them, while having a better alternative at hand.
So really, what all us Europeans should have done is get a CC, only to use it once in Anet's Online Store? Oh yeah, that's a great solution...
|
You can use debit cards to purchase from the online store. I don't know where you got the idea that it's only credit cards.

lol well i know some folk find it difficult to do nothing
I totally agree that there is no guarantee that it wont be offered in some other way, and im not sure if Gaile has ever said it wont be offered again
However I do think people have a right to feel upset if it is offered in some cheaper way
In my opinion I think if Anet were to offer it online in the sotre for £17 as it was i the offer that would be fair. though I know I wouln't buy it at that price

Anet just won't do it, no matter how many people beat the dead horse. The only excuse anyone has is if the ingame store screwed them over and didn't accept their card. No other reason is acceptable.

I think the only way to make both sides happy would be to make it available to purchase, and give the people who got it along with the offer something else that only they would have.
Then we can have this whole dilema all over again over the new stuff people wont have.

if they made it spend €40 in online shop but had it a long term thing( nearly twice the origional amount) then it would be more or less the same..as i was expecting SMS payment before the offer ended but it wasn't delivered-.-
and im not allowed use credit cards prepaid or other

I'm getting pretty sick of this "I got it free with GW:EN so YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!" mentality. I bought GW:EN on the online store. Do I want to deny content to people who want to pay extra for it? Hell no. There are way too many elitist pricks online now.
Look, Anet will have screwed up either way this plays out. If they do offer the content to be bought separately, some people who bought GW:EN online will bitch and moan. If they don't, some people will bitch and moan. Some people like to pay cash for a hardcopy of their game from a brick and mortar store. I don't see anything wrong with that. If they want to go out later and pay more online for a bonus pack, let 'em.
